London Festival of Architecture - Brixton Boundaries

Brixton Boundaries is an installation by local design/architecture studios AWMA and Squire & Partners, which explores Brixton’s unique experience of boundaries.

Recognising that boundaries form part of our everyday experience, we set out to identify which helped us to feel secure and which form barriers to growth and inclusion.

Following a community workshop involving local people of various ages and backgrounds, we highlight the ways in which boundaries shape our community, and explore creative ways to break them down.

The immersive installation reveals physical and emotional barriers through illuminations, mapping, film and models, and invites visitors to contribute their own experience and become part of the evolving display.

Open daily from 10 am - 5 pm from Saturday 8 June - Sunday 16 June.
